After a night on the ferry and a drive across Ireland, I arrived about noon at the house we were staying in opposite Spillanes. I was a day later than the others but found them rigging up for their first windsurfing session. So after a pot of tea I joined them. It was very windy with some big waves so I was on my smallest kit - 85 l with 4 m sail. It was good to be able to launch from the house for a great first sail of the week. I even managed a dry gybe on the outside (but only one).
